What I'm doing these days
A now page — the honest, current answer to "so what are you up to?" Last updated July 9, 2026.
Training
Chicago Marathon, October 11. Boston is done — 3:19 on those hills, and I earned every second of it — so now the buildup starts again: early kilometres on the trails around Hamilton and Burlington, long runs on Saturdays, and the eternal negotiation with the 5 a.m. alarm.
Building
Vor, an AI code reviewer that runs as a GitHub Action — currently teaching it even more restraint. And this site, which doubles as the living demo of my design system: one token source, React and Flutter libraries, zero client JavaScript.
Writing
Field notes on endurance science — sleep, fuelling, pacing, and what actually happens inside your head late in a marathon. The first engineering note just landed too.
Drinking
579 cups so far this year, two to four a day, counted honestly by a small script. Still chasing the repeatable nine-bar shot; the grinder and I are in couples counselling.
Wondering how the coffee number stays current? A scheduled job adds 2–4 cups a day and commits the ledger. More about me, or the work.
